Two Equal Halves

Equal doesn’t have to be identical

yinyang

If it was so…

The ether was similar to earth

The fire and water were akin

Like two fraternal twins

The Yin and Yang stood for the same

Not symbolizing the duality of nature,

Just two discrete names.

Earth adorns a white bridal veil each winter

Autumn she rests and hibernates

Spring impregnates the seed in her womb

Come summer it grows and germinates

A perfect harmony then, nature reverberates

Ever wonder…

If the cosmos goes askew

And orbs go astray

The sun decides not to rise

The days would get swallowed by nights

No light, no life, no time would hold

The universe will be a one big black hole.

But that’s not what makes the world go round

For zillions of light years what keeps it abound

The Universe subsists and gravity sustains

The orbs revolve, in orbits they remain

Fire, water, air and wood

All respect each other’s protocol

Each element sings its note

The quintessence of existence

Lies in playing their Equal Vital role

Actually…

Equal was never meant to be Identical

But equally relevant

Contrary but complementary

Distinct yet interconnected

Symbiotic but apart

Muscle to move the body

And blood to warm the heart

You need a fine amalgam

To reach a common goal

To give birth to a new life

And make that indivisible whole.

Under The Shadow Of Giant Trees…

Evergreen Trees

Under The Shadow Of Giant Trees…

Blessed are those special ones, whom God bestows with His might

They are indeed those bright minds, who earn this gift for the right

They have certainly risen more than other poor mortals in plight

Now that you are the chosen one, have bigger challenge to fight

There are those who bow their head in reverence, contain the power inside

Spread their aura; kindle the radiance, to the humble and slight

There are some who can’t hold the power, get blinded by their might

Can’t see those new tiny stars around, who are struggling for their lime light

Narcissists captivated in self-gratification, nonchalant to selfless side

Giant and towering trees let only nestling climbers touch height

Indifferent, syphoning wherewithal, causing erosion, basking in avaricious pride

Eclipsed in their amoral shadow, many true n worthy saplings died!

The fine silk woven by the dexterous fingers

A play of a mindful art

Creativity appliquéd the passion so stitched

Embroidered with seams of thoughts

Years and years of heritage thus passed down

Here comes what an objet d’art!

The palate of hues blended by the artistic hands

Moved on the canvas with utmost segue

To create picture of someone’s dreams

Illusions of mind thus perceived

Portray the images of one’s heart

A Da Vinci’s Mona Liza thus conceived

Affection n care wrapped in the garment

Granny’s prayers, knitted in yarn

Nimble needles churn out the intricate pattern

The tassels n braids, the embellishments so worn

Ornamental trimmings, edgings and bobbles

Oh what love and warmth thus born!

Where is the beauty of true melody

The magic of maestro caressing avid hearts

Outdone is the music once created with simple strings

Cosmetically treated are the vocal cords

Tuners and synthesizers make you a star in a sprint

No longer a veritable piece of opus gets true applaud

Gone are the days of labor and inimitable creations

Flawless is the new creation, however the theme hodgepodge

The peace it transpired is replaced by utter techno noise

No one’s chasing the distinct excellence, in this race to win n outsmart

The passion n spirit that flows in a single stroke

is taken away by a modern collage

The wonder of virtuoso is left to the mercy of paintbrush

The high pixels ‘n’ graphics have conjured faux art

The masterpieces are crafted through cut ‘n’ paste

Edited by the ingenuity of a digital shop

The sheer mystic of ingenious is mislaid

Alas! The soulful ‘real McCoy’ once existed, is lost !
